- Preheat your oven to 375°F or your air fryer to 350°F.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, packed brown sugar, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Whisk together until smooth and syrupy.
- Take the apples and cut off the tops. Use a spoon or apple corer to carefully remove the core.
- Make thin crosswise slices in the apples, being mindful not to cut all the way through to the bottom.
- Place two caramel squares into the center of each apple and brush the prepared butter and sugar mixture over each one.
- Place the filled apples in a greased baking dish and bake for about 30 minutes until tender.
- Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce on top.
