Ingredients
  

Beef Filling
  • 1 lb Ground Beef main protein source
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil for sautéing
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning or homemade
  • 1/4 cup Water to blend seasoning
Taco Shells
  • 8 pieces Corn Tortillas fresh or quality
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil for frying
Toppings
  • 2 cups Shredded Lettuce for crunch
  • 1 cup Diced Tomatoes fresh burst
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese or other cheese
  • 1 cup Sour Cream for creaminess
  • 1/2 cup Salsa your favorite variety
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro to taste

Method
 

Beef Filling
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook for 5–7 minutes until browned.
  2. Add chopped onion and sauté for 3–5 minutes until translucent. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Sprinkle in taco seasoning and add water. Stir and simmer for 5–7 minutes until thicken.
Taco Shells
  1. Warm corn tortillas on another pan over medium heat for 30 seconds on each side.
  2. In a frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry each tortilla for 30–60 seconds per side until golden-brown.
Assembly
  1. Assemble tacos by filling crispy shells with beef and adding toppings as desired.
  2. Serve immediately while hot and crispy, alongside salsa, sour cream, and cilantro.
