Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil, add egg noodles, and cook until very al dente, about 2-3 minutes less than package instructions.
  3. Melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter, then add chopped scallions, onion, and garlic. Sauté for 6-8 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour and cook for 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in 2 cups of water, bringing to a boil until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in lemon zest, cream cheese, cheese, miso, chili sauce, bouillon, and soy sauce until smooth.
  6. Fold in noodles, tuna, and peas gently. Season with salt and pepper, then transfer to the baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle crushed potato chips evenly over the top.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly and the chips are golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving and garnish with additional lemon zest and scallions.
