Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prep your ingredients by washing and chopping the broccoli, zucchini, bell pepper, and any other veggies you prefer. Mince 4 cloves of garlic. Measure out your soy sauce, sesame oil, chili flakes, and brown sugar.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add 1 pound of ground beef and cook for 4–5 minutes until browned. Stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar for 3–4 minutes.
- In a separate frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Add mushrooms and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add broccoli, zucchini, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for another 4–5 minutes.
- To serve, take portions of cooked white rice and spoon into bowls. Top each with the ground beef mixture and sautéed veggies. Drizzle any leftover sauce over the top.
- Optionally, top each bowl with a fried egg and garnish with chopped scallions or fresh cilantro.
