  • 1/4 cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes Optional
For the Optional Crunch
  • 4 slices Bacon Crispy, crumbled
For Grilling
  • 4 tbsp Butter Generously spread on the outside

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Sourdough Pesto Grilled Cheese
  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  3. Place bread slices butter-side down into the pan and add mozzarella.
  4. Spread basil pesto on bread, then add optional sun-dried tomatoes or bacon.
  5. Press down on the sandwich, then place another slice of sourdough on top, buttered side facing out.
  6. Spread butter on the top slice of the sandwich.
  7. Grill for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
  8. Flip the sandwich and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
  9. Remove the sandwich, let it cool for a minute, then slice and serve.
