Step-by-Step Instructions for Sourdough Pesto Grilled Cheese
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat for about 3-5 minutes.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- Place bread slices butter-side down into the pan and add mozzarella.
- Spread basil pesto on bread, then add optional sun-dried tomatoes or bacon.
- Press down on the sandwich, then place another slice of sourdough on top, buttered side facing out.
- Spread butter on the top slice of the sandwich.
- Grill for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
- Flip the sandwich and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the sandwich, let it cool for a minute, then slice and serve.
