- Begin by heating a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add about 2 tablespoons of oil and let it heat until shimmering, which should take about 2 minutes.
- While the skillet is heating, season both sides of your steaks with cocoa chipotle seasoning, pressing it gently to adhere.
- Carefully place the seasoned steaks into the hot skillet, searing each side for about 3-4 minutes depending on your preferred doneness.
- Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest covered with aluminum foil for 5-7 minutes.
- In the same skillet, add the shishito peppers and increase the heat to high, searing them for about 3-5 minutes until blistered.
- Slice the rested Cocoa Crusted Steak against the grain and plate it alongside the blistered shishito peppers.
