Preparation
  1. Marinate Steak and Shrimp: Whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, black pepper, salt, and smoked paprika. Add the steak and shrimp, coat well, marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare Skewers: Soak wooden skewers in water for 20-30 minutes. If using metal skewers, set aside.
  3. Skewer Ingredients: Thread steak and shrimp onto skewers alternating between the two, about 3-4 pieces of steak and 2-3 shrimp per skewer.
  4. Make Garlic Butter Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan, add minced garlic, sauté until fragrant, and stir in chopped parsley.
  5. Preheat Cooking Surface: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat or the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Cook Skewers: Grill skewers for 3-4 minutes per side, basting with garlic butter sauce until shrimp is opaque and steak is done to your liking.
  7. Oven Method: Arrange skewers on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, basting frequently.
  8. Rest Skewers: Let the skewers rest for 5 minutes after cooking.
  9. Serve: Drizzle remaining garlic butter sauce over skewers, garnish with parsley, and serve alongside salad or grilled vegetables.
