  • 1 lb Large or Extra-Large Shrimp Peel and devein shrimp before cooking. Leave tails on for presentation.
  • 2 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning Can use a homemade mix if needed.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Freshly minced is best, but garlic powder is a substitute.
For the Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 4 tbsp Butter For dairy-free option, replace with plant-based butter.
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Adjust to heat preference.
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Chopped.
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Optional.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine or spaghetti until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, pat shrimp dry and toss with olive oil, Old Bay seasoning, and salt until well-coated.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high and add olive oil. Cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove from the pan.
  4. Lower heat and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Stir in reserved pasta water, lemon juice, and remaining Old Bay seasoning. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add drained pasta and shrimp back to the skillet, toss gently for 1-2 minutes until well combined.
  7. Finish with parsley and Parmesan if desired. Serve hot with lemon wedges.
