Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté diced mushrooms until golden brown, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, eggs, sautéed mushrooms, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well and add half of the shredded Swiss cheese.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture onto a lined baking dish or a loaf pan and shape into a loaf about 2 inches tall.
  5. Sprinkle remaining Swiss cheese and layer crispy bacon on top.
  6. Bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Allow the meatloaf to rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
