  1. Begin by coring the apples at the base, keeping the stalks intact for a spooky look.
  2. Brush the exposed apple flesh with fresh lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Melt the white chocolate over simmering water, stirring until smooth.
  4. Fold in the puffed rice gently until each piece is coated evenly.
  5. Fill the apple cores with the chocolate-puffed rice mixture, packing it tightly.
  6. Chill the filled Maggoty Apples in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
