 - In a large bowl, mix self-raising flour, dark brown soft sugar, and a pinch of salt.
 - Cream together softened butter and remaining dark brown sugar until light and fluffy.
 - Add eggs, spiced rum, and vanilla extract to the mixture, then beat until smooth.
 - Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
 - Gently fold in the raisins until evenly distributed.
 - Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 20-25 minutes.
 - Cool in the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
