Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
  3. Add the milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla to the dry ingredients, and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  4. Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before poking holes in the top.
