Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and unsweetened cocoa powder.
  3. Add whole milk, vegetable oil, large eggs, and vanilla extract, and blend for about 2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Carefully stir in the boiling water to the batter until completely smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes and poke holes all over the top using a wooden spoon handle.
  7. Mix sweetened condensed milk, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans in a separate bowl; pour over the cake.
