  • 1 cup Buttermilk Or milk mixed with lemon juice
For the Coating
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Base coating for crunch
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Or substitute with onion powder
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs For ultra-crispy texture
For Frying
  • 4 cups Vegetable or Canola Oil For deep frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and garlic powder, then prepare bowls with buttermilk and panko.
  3. Dredge the chicken in flour, then dip in buttermilk, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a pot to 350°F (175°C) for frying.
  5. Fry chicken in batches for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt before serving.
