  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar Sifting ensures a smooth finish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in beaten eggs, melted butter, and salt. Gradually mix in flour until soft dough forms.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise until doubled, about 1-2 hours.
  5. Punch down dough, roll it out to 1/2 inch thick, and cut doughnut shapes.
  6. Let the cut doughnuts rise for 30-45 minutes until puffy.
  7. Heat oil to 375°F and fry doughnuts for 1 minute on each side until golden brown.
  8. In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze. Dip the tops of the doughnuts in glaze and allow to set.
