- Preheat your oven to 415°F (213°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out and cut the thawed puff pastry sheets into two equal rectangles.
- Warm your Nutella in the microwave for about 15 seconds for easier spreading.
- Spread the warm Nutella over one half of each puff pastry sheet, leaving a border.
- Place the second pastry sheet on top, pressing down to seal, then slice into 1.5-inch wide strips.
- Twist each strip a few times and place them on the lined baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with the whisked egg or melted butter if desired.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
