  • 8 oz Mushrooms Halve and carve into skull shapes.
For the Seasoning and Broth
  • 2 tbsp Italian Herb Seasoning Substitution: Mix your own if needed.
  • 1 tbsp Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tbsp Pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1 can Campbell’s Condensed French Onion Soup
  • 1 can Campbell’s Condensed Tomato Soup
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 cups Beef Broth Can be swapped with vegetable broth.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and hot sausage for 6-8 minutes until crumbly. Drain excess fat and transfer to slow cooker.
  2. Cut carrots into pumpkin shapes and add with diced potatoes, chopped celery, leeks, and minced garlic to slow cooker. Sprinkle in seasoning, salt, and pepper, and mix gently.
  3. Pour in French onion soup, tomato soup, water, and beef broth. Stir until well combined.
  4. Cover slow cooker and set to cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 8 hours.
  5. About 10 minutes before serving, carve mushrooms into skull shapes and add to stew. Cover and cook for the last 10 minutes.
  6. Once thick, stir and ladle into bowls. Serve with crusty bread or a side salad.
