- Wash 2 cups of dark cherries thoroughly. If fresh, pit them carefully. If frozen, let them thaw slightly for about 10-15 minutes.
- Combine the cherries, 1/2 cup water, and 2 tablespoons lemon juice in a high-speed blender. Blend on high for 30-40 seconds until smooth.
- Taste the mixture and add 1-2 tablespoons of sweetener if desired. Blend for another 10-15 seconds.
- Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container and freeze for at least 24 hours.
- Remove from freezer, insert into Ninja Creami, and select the 'Sorbet' function. Process for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
- If too crumbly, use the 'Mix-In' function for 30 seconds or process again on 'Sorbet' for another minute.
- Serve immediately into bowls or cones and enjoy the vibrant flavors!
