Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about ⅛ inch thickness.
  3. Cut the rolled pastry into rectangles, approximately 3x5 inches in size.
  4. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on one half of each pastry rectangle.
  5. Layer a slice of deli ham followed by your choice of cheese on top of the mustard.
  6. Fold the pastry over to create a pocket and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
  7. Place the sealed sticks on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart.
  8. Brush the tops of the sticks with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Allow the sticks to cool slightly before serving.
