- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Cut the cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the milk until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat it into a rectangle about ½ to ¾ inch thick.
- Cut out rounds using a biscuit cutter and place them on the baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with melted butter before baking.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
