Step-by-Step Instructions for Easy Valentine Cookie Cups
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a mini muffin pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together unsalted butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in egg and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.
  4. Sprinkle in baking soda and gently mix it into the dough.
  5. Gradually fold in all-purpose flour until a slightly sticky dough forms.
  6. Roll dough into balls, about 1 tablespoon each, and place them in the muffin pan.
  7. Bake for about 8 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers are soft.
  8. Press a miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup into the center of each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
  9. Top each Reese's with a jumbo heart sprinkle after waiting a minute.
  10. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to set the chocolate.
  11. Run a knife around the edges to release cookie cups from the pan and serve.
