Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Brown ground beef and diced onion for 5-7 minutes, draining excess fat.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk or beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
- In the baking dish, combine cooked rice, beef mixture, and half of the cheese. Pour the sauce over and mix gently.
- Top with remaining cheese, cover with foil, and bake for 20 minutes.
- Uncover, and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Broil for 2 minutes until cheese is crispy, being careful not to burn.
- Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve.
