Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 2 cups Small pasta (shells or elbow macaroni)
For the Seafood
  • 1 lb Shrimp (fresh or pre-cooked)
  • 8 oz Imitation crab
For the Vegetables
  • 1 cup Celery (chopped)
  • 1 cup Red bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 cup Red onion (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Parsley (chopped) for garnish
For the Dressing
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning adjust to taste
  • to taste Salt & pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, then drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. If using fresh shrimp, cook them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until pink. Drain, cool, and chop.
  3. Chop celery, red bell pepper, and red onion to similar sizes. Add parsley for garnish.
Making the Dressing
  1. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Add Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
Combining Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, combine cooled pasta, chopped shrimp, imitation crab, and vegetables. Pour the dressing over and toss gently to coat.
Chilling
  1. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour for flavors to meld together.
Serving
  1. Toss before serving and serve on a bed of lettuce. Garnish with parsley and optional paprika.
