  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise use Hellmann's for best texture

Salad
  • 4 cups lettuce (Iceberg or Romaine) chop into thin ribbons
  • 0.5 medium red onion use sweet onion for milder flavor
  • 1 cup tomatoes cherry tomatoes can be used
  • 1 cup pepperoncini drain well to avoid sogginess
  • 4 ounces provolone cheese cubed
  • 4 ounces salami cut into strips
  • 1 cup turkey chopped into bite-sized pieces

Method
 

Dressing Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, oregano, salt and pepper. Stir in red pepper flakes and Dijon mustard until smooth. Let the dressing rest for about 10 minutes.
Salad Preparation
  1. Shred lettuce into thin ribbons. Slice red onion, dice tomatoes, cube provolone cheese, cut salami into strips, and chop turkey into bite-sized pieces.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Add lettuce, red onion, tomatoes, provolone, salami, and turkey into the bowl with dressing.
Toss Salad
  1. Gently toss the combined ingredients until evenly coated with dressing. Serve immediately.
