Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking dish with cooking spray or parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, and salt until combined.
  3. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, vanilla extract, and pumpkin purée together. Fold this into the chocolate mixture.
  5. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined. Add 3 tablespoons of chocolate chips.
  6. Blend cream cheese, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and pumpkin purée in a bowl until smooth.
  7. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared dish and dollop the cream cheese mixture on top. Swirl with a toothpick.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes; check doneness with a toothpick.
