Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by cutting the boneless white fish into 1¼ × 1½ inch pieces and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Combine the spice mix ingredients with lemon juice and sprinkle it generously over the fish pieces. Allow to marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Prepare three separate bowls for the coating: one with flour, one with egg wash, and one with breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge each marinated fish piece in the flour mixture, then dip into the egg wash, and press into the breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat enough neutral oil in a pan to cover the bottom about ½ inch deep over medium heat.
  6. Fry the coated fish nuggets in batches for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer fried nuggets to a wire rack over paper towels to drain excess oil and serve hot.
