Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream or mayonnaise, fresh dill, and kosher salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Spread the herbed cream cheese mixture onto one side of each slice of bread, ensuring each is well-coated.
  3. Slice an English cucumber into thin rounds, about ⅛ inch thick, and place on half of the prepared bread slices.
  4. Position the remaining slices of bread on top of the cucumber slices, with the spread side facing down, and gently press to secure.
  5. Trim off the crusts and cut each sandwich into quarters for easy serving.
  6. Arrange the cut sandwiches on a platter and garnish with a sprig of dill or an extra cucumber slice.
