  • 3 tbsp Unsalted Butter for better control over saltiness
  • 3 cloves Garlic fresh minced
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil can substitute with vegetable oil
For the Creaminess
  • 1 to 2 cups Shredded Cheese cheddar or mozzarella, adjust based on preference
Optional Additions
  • to taste Vegetables spinach, bell peppers, or mushrooms
  • a pinch Red Pepper Flakes for heat

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Skillet
  • Spatula

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and break it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Sauté for 6-8 minutes until browned and fully cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and add 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 3 cloves of minced garlic into the skillet with the browned beef. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant.
  4. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet, gently tossing to coat the pasta in the garlic butter. Stir for about 2 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle 1 to 2 cups of shredded cheese over the pasta mix. Stir continuously for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts completely.
  6. Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and a pinch of Italian seasoning if desired. Serve immediately, garnished with extra cheese if you like.
