  • 10 oz Mushrooms about 20 small whole mushrooms
  • 2 oz Butter melted
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese slightly softened
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese shredded
  • ¼ cup Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • 2 slices Bacon cooked and finely chopped
  • ¼ Green Bell Pepper very finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Cayenne Pepper to taste
  • Paprika
  • Fresh Lemon Juice optional

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a medium baking dish with melted butter.
  2. Gently wipe the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and break off the stems. Coat mushroom caps in melted butter.
  3. Place mushroom caps upside down in the baking dish, sprinkle with salt, and bake for 10-15 minutes until tender.
  4. Flip mushroom caps right side up and drain any excess liquid.
  5. Combine cream cheese, Parmesan, Mozzarella, bacon, and bell pepper in a mixing bowl. Season to taste.
  6. Fill each mushroom cap with the cheese and bacon mixture, mounding slightly.
  7. Sprinkle paprika over the caps and drizzle with remaining melted butter.
  8. Bake for an additional 20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
