Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Cheddar and Bacon Turkey Melt
  1. Start by laying out two slices of sourdough bread on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on one side of each slice.
  2. On one of the slices, add a layer of Dijon mustard atop the mayonnaise.
  3. Next, place a layer of sharp cheddar cheese directly on top of the mustard.
  4. Now it’s time to introduce the crispy cooked bacon. Layer it evenly over the cheddar cheese.
  5. Next, lay the turkey breast slices evenly on top of the bacon.
  6. Take the second slice of sourdough and place it on top of the turkey, ensuring the mayo side faces down.
  7. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter. As the butter melts, swirl it around the pan.
  8. Carefully place the assembled sandwich in the skillet and let it cook for about 3-4 minutes.
