Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, yeast, and salt until blended.
  2. Warm milk and whisk in melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Pour into dry ingredients and mix.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  5. After rising, punch down the dough and roll it out to ½ inch thick. Cut out circles.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
