  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil can replace with vegetable oil
For the Veggies
  • 4 cloves Garlic fresh is best
  • 2 cups Broccoli Florets can substitute with bok choy or snap peas
  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper can substitute with yellow or green
  • 1 medium Zucchini can replace with eggplant or yellow squash
  • 1 cup Mushrooms varieties of mushrooms work
For Serving
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil can substitute with vegetable or canola oil
  • 4 cups Steamed White Rice can use brown rice or quinoa

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare your ingredients: wash and chop broccoli, dice red bell pepper, slice zucchini and mushrooms. Mince garlic.
  2. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar.
  4. In another pan, heat olive oil. Sauté garlic, then add mushrooms and cook until crispy. Stir-fry broccoli, zucchini, and red bell pepper until tender-crisp.
  5. Assemble the stir-fry bowl with rice as the base, topped with sautéed beef and veggies. Optionally, add a fried egg on top.
